Designed for automotive and general use, ColorSpec employs the same Clear-Over-Base (C.O.B.) technology as automotive manufacturers. Available in small touch-up bottles, aerosol cans, or bulk tins for application via air-operated spray equipment. ColorSpec is ideal for DIYers through to professional body shops.
The only way to achieve a professional-looking, long-lasting finish is with proper preparation. ColorSpec recommends all surfaces be primed prior to the application of Base Coat Colour.
For best results, only use ColorSpec Base Coat Colour over ColorSpec primers.

All the gloss and all the durability is in the clear coat. Being a proper automotive, Clear-Over-Base refinish paint system, ColorSpec Base Coat Colour dries to a low-sheen. To bring up the gloss, along with a more accurate colour match, you need to apply ColorSpec Acrylic Clear Coat or Deep Crystal Clear Coat. Clear coat also seals the Base Coat, providing long-lasting durability and protection against the elements.
